Twitter's #Music app for iOS was updated Friday to make better artist recommendations, reach people around the world, and send listeners down a rabbit-hole of music discovery.
Launched in April, Twitter Music takes inventory of the artists and tracks that people are tweeting about to create Twitter-inspired playlists for easy listening, with Spotify and Rdio powering the streams in the background. Twitter is now helping guide users of its music service to the types of music they want to hear.
Thursday, Twitter Music, the 2-month-old Web and mobile streaming service powered by Twitter activity, was updated with a discovery feature called charts, which offers people a genre-based approach to music listening.

According to AllThingsD, Kevin Thau is leaving Twitter to join a startup launched by Twitter co-founder Biz Stone called Jelly. Thau is said to be the new chief operating officer of the startup.
Last month, news first appeared that Stone was preparing to add Jelly to his line of startups. It's said to be a company that will most likely produce a product to be featured on smartphones and tablets.
