Tumblr makes blog post creation faster and easier

Tumblr is making it easier for bloggers to blog. The site began rolling out its revamped Dashboard today, which lets users create entire posts without leaving the page.

"It's a step toward making the Dashboard a smaller and more streamlined experience," a Tumblr spokesperson told The Verge. " With this new way to create a post, the Dashboard has become a single experience. Now you're making posts the same way you're reading them."

Google updates image search to be faster, more reliable

Google announced today that it is revamping its image search to make it speedier and more reliable. Soon, people will be able to simultaneously see images and image information while searching for photos, illustrations, and graphics.

"Based on feedback from both users and webmasters, we redesigned Google Images to provide a better search experience," Google Images Associate Product Manager Hongyi Li wrote in a blog post today. "In the next few days, you'll see image results displayed in an inline panel so it's faster, more beautiful, and more reliable."

Google's revamped search engine sees lots of action

It's been two weeks since Google embarked on its biggest overhaul since its inception and...so far so good.

The Internet giant said it has had a clear increase in search activity over the past couple of weeks, according to The Wall Street Journal.

"Early indications are that people are interacting with it more, learning about more things...and doing more [search] queries," top Google search executive Amit Singhal told the Journal in an interview. "It's stoking people's curiosity."

More rumblings point to free MobileMe in April

AT&T gives retail stores a makeover

Riding the success of the iPhone, AT&T, apart from trying to keep the phone exclusive, seems to be learning from Apple in another way--its retail stores.
