Gazing into the WWDC crystal ball: Updated iMacs, MacBook Pros, what else?

During the upcoming WWDC conference in San Francisco, Apple is expected to announce updates to its Mac line of desktop and laptop computers. This may include the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro laptops, Mac Pro desktop, iMac all-in-one, and perhaps even the Mac Mini small form factor desktop.

Rumors, leaks, alleged lists of part numbers, and blurry photos of spec stickers have all surfaced in the past weeks. What I want to see in iOS 6

As is always the case with every Apple event, there's really no way we can know what the company will announce at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference keynote on Monday. I'm personally hoping Tim Cook will walk out there with the iPhone 5 (my iPhone 4 is getting a little rough around the edges), but others are saying that won't come until fall. We're probably about due for a Mountain Lion update as well, but many are saying that won't be here until later in the summer.

Of course that leaves a ton of possibilities, from new laptop refreshes to Apple TVs, and who knows what else Apple has up its sleeve. But most people agree that an announcement about iOS 6 will probably be a major part of the presentation this Monday.

Apple announces WWDC schedule; keynote set for June 11

Apple has announced its schedule for the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) next month, as well as a new app for attendees.

According to the company, the event, which will be held between June 11 and June 15 in San Francisco, will kick off with a keynote address on that Monday at 10 a.m. PT. Apple hasn't said who will be holding the event nor what the company will discuss, but it's more than likely that Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook will be leading the festivities.
