Owners of Sony's upcoming PS4 will be able to download the PlayStation app for iOS and Android come November.
The launch date was revealed by Sony at this week's Tokyo Game Show 2013, according to gaming news site Polygon. The PS4 itself is scheduled to land in North America on November 15 and in Europe on November 29.

TOKYO -- Sony has a sales target of 5 million PlayStation 4 game consoles by next March, Sony Computer Entertainment President Andrew House said a keynote Thursday during the Tokyo Game Show
March 31, 2014, marks the end of Sony's current fiscal year, and by then, the PS4 would have been launched in most major markets. The game console will be available in North America and Europe in November this year, parts of Asia in December, and finally in Japan in February.
During a press conference in Japan, Sony has announced the release date and price of the Sony PlayStation 4 in Japan. It will start selling on February 22, and go for 39,980 yen (US$400), or 43,980 yen (US$441) with the camera accessory.
This is three months after the US release date of November 15, and November 29 for parts of Europe, including the UK. According to Sony, the February release date makes sure that there's time for US titles to be localized for the Japan market at launch, and dedicated Japanese titles, too.

Unless you're planning to exclusively use the new console as a Netflix streaming box and media hub -- BTW, perfectly legitimate albeit expensive and kind of foolhardy reasons to buy one -- you'll likely want to play some games on it. At the Gamescom conference in Cologne, Germany, today, Sony announced that its PlayStation 4 game console would be arriving November 15 in North America, followed by a European launch date of November 29.
The company said the console would launch in 32 countries overall in time for the holiday season, but didn't specify any other dates worldwide. Sony also mentioned that 1,000,000 preorders have been placed already.
