BARCELONA, Spain--The show doesn't begin until Monday, but LG has spilled more details on its new devices for Mobile World Congress. We already knew about the Optimus 3D, but the company also will show the Optimus Pad tablet. Here are the preliminary details on each device from an LG press release.

It's one of the craziest weeks ever in cell phone land. Not only are Kent and Bonnie packing for Mobile World Congress, but we also had two big-time press events from Sprint and HP. Sprint's new device is the dual-screen Kyocera Echo. We admit it doesn't look like much right now, but that didn't stop magician David Blaine from showing up at the unveiling. Sony Ericsson is busting out all over in the run up to Mobile World Congress. First, the company teased us with a peek at the long-awaited Xperia Play, and now we catch a glimpse of another handset called the Xperia Neo.

Android Community posted photos today of a candy bar smartphone that looks not unlike the new Xperia Arc. Like the Arc, the Neo should run Android 2.3 Gingerbread, though on a slightly smaller 4-inch touch screen. On the outside it also promises Mini-HDMI and Micro-USB ports.

Rumors of a dual-core Android smartphone from HTC began swirling today, thanks to information obtained by the blog AndroidAndMe.

According to multiple sources, HTC should debut its first 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon handset in May. The handset, which carries the code-name Pyramid, is said to feature a 4.3-inch qHD display and support for HSPA+ connectivity. TmoNews has confirmed on its end that T-Mobile is expecting to offer the phone in the same time frame.

As we speculated last week, LG is indeed going to unveil a 3D smartphone at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Much like the Nintendo 3DS, the LG Optimus 3D won't require glasses for 3D viewing. LG promises a "complete platform for a one-of-a-kind experience" as well as HDMI and DLNA connections for content sharing, presumably to a 3D-capable television.

A recently leaked document from inside the Samsung camp confirms the handset maker's plans to unveil successors to its popular Galaxy devices at next month's Mobile World Congress.

The sheet, which has since been pulled offline, detailed PR planning for the company's Unpacked event. It looks like Samsung expects to debut the Galaxy S 2 and Galaxy Tab 2 on February 13. Being that this is as close as we have come to any actual confirmation of the devices, we don't know know what the hardware and software will look like. Officially, that is.
