Another 4K TV maker is slashing prices to stay competitive.
LG has confirmed to industry publication TWICE that it's reducing the prices of its 55- and 65-inch 4K TVs by $1,000 and $1,500, respectively.
LG spokesman John Taylor told TWICE that the move was made to "keep LG Ultra HDTVs competitive in the marketplace."
Facebook's stock price on Monday struck an all-time high since the company first went public in May 2012. At the close of the market, Facebook shares were trading at $41.34, which is an increase of 1.9 percent since Friday. Earlier on Monday the price reached $41.94.
While this is most likely welcome news to the social network and its investors, it might not be time to pop the champagne corks. Facebook shares were higher than this when it was still a private company and trading on the secondary market.

According to industry publication TWICE, Samsung has joined Sony in reducing the prices of its 55- and 65-inch 4K Ultra High-definition-resolution televisions by $1,000 and $1,500 respectively.
A federal judge has scheduled the trial to determine the damages Apple owes in its e-book price-fixing case for May 2014.
Judge Denise Cote of the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of New York scheduled the trial Tuesday, according to an order released to the public Wednesday. The new trial is the companion proceeding to last month's decision, in which Cote ruled that Apple played a central role in a conspiracy with publishers to eliminate price competition for e-books.
