A day after Apple hinted at iPad Mini Retina supply shortages, a report from Asia is citing Sharp as the main bottleneck.
Sharp is having problems with production yields of the 7.9-inch display for the Mini Retina, according to a report in Digitimes.
This comes a day after Apple CEO Tim Cook offered a cautious outlook for supply of the new Mini.
"It's unclear whether we'll have enough for the quarter or not," Cook said during Apple's earnings conference call on Monday.

Juan Perez Gonzalez was arrested on Monday in Louisville after he crashed his tractor trailer into a utility pole. The truck was found to be carrying more than $12 million in LG G2 smartphones. Samsung shipped a record 120 million phones last quarter, beating Nokia, Apple, and LG combined, Strategy Analytics said Tuesday.
The quarter showed a 7 percent jump in overall global shipments from a year ago and gave Samsung a 29 percent slice of the mobile phone market. Strategy Analytics attributed the gain to strong demand for Samsung's Note 3 phablet and mass market devices, such as the Galaxy Y.
In second place, Nokia bit off 15.5 percent of the worldwide mobile phone market, followed by Apple with 8 percent and LG with 4.4 percent.

Apple is close to awarding at least one company with a contract to supply displays for its long-rumored iWatch, according to a new report.
LG Display is close to signing a deal with Apple to provide flexible organic light-emitting diode panels (OLED) for its iWatch smartwatch, Korea Herald reported on Tuesday, citing people who claim to have knowledge of the negotiations.
