Redfield describes its Face Control plug-in for Adobe Photoshop as a precision tool for facial expression synthesis. It applies highly controlled distortions to images, especially faces, to achieve subtle or dramatic effects. It can alter the Mona Lisa's famously enigmatic smile or turn the most charming movie star into a leering, sneering villain. It's optimized for facial close-ups, but it works on any image in Photoshop. It's freeware that downloads with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
Installing Face Control isn't quite like installing an ordinary app since you must browse to Photoshop's plug-in folder. Not … Read more

Autosafe Drinking lets you know exactly when you're fit to drive after drinking, based on accurate calculations, but it takes a little while to figure out. You'll definitely want to have it set up before you enter the bar instead of trying to fiddle with it after you've had one too many. While it's not a replacement for a designated driver by any means, it's a good way to figure out exactly how alcohol impairs your motor skills and thinking.

When you open the app for the first time and confirm that it can access your calendar, it will automatically display everything you have listed for today in a list format, handwritten in a notebook. You can turn off the … Read more

PrivaShield Gold Edition promises to enhance your privacy and security, but all it really does is delete junk files on schedule, and it leaves a bit to be desired in that task, too. For instance, the installer informed us that we'd need to upgrade to a Registered version to use definition logs. PrivaShield gives the distinct impression of an out-of-date tool gussied up as the latest thing; an impression not helped by offering to clean Netscape installations or its inability to recognize Firefox and Chrome in our system.
PrivaShield Gold's user interface is busy and not especially attractive … Read more
