Yesterday, Google updated the app with two small but welcome additions: file sorting and a find/replace feature for documents.
Now, when viewing your main file list, you'll see a Sort button in the upper-right corner. Tap it to access the following new options:Last edited by me Last modified Last opened by me Title (the default)
Google Drive also offers a helpful new tool for anyone who relies on the app for document editing: find-and-replace.
When you have a document open, you … Read more

Spotify is setting its mobile app free.
The streaming music service said Wednesday that it would allow anyone on an iOS or Android tablet or smartphone to use its app free of charge. The new service launches Wednesday. Previously, users could only listen to Spotify's desktop or browser-based program for free, and only premium members who paid $10 a month had access to the service through other devices.
The move marks a change in Spotify's business and could expand its potential base of listeners. The lack of a free mobile app has been an inhibitor of the company'… Read more

Google is giving you a reason to take a second look at the LG G Pad 8.3. Google and LG on Tuesday unveiled a Google Play Edition of the G Pad 8.3, complete with Android 4.4, or KitKat.

Like the two phones, the G Pad will come with a pure Android experience.

For weeks now I've been sorely tempted to buy the Republic Wireless Moto X, but there's one thing preventing me from pulling the trigger: the 16GB of unexpandable storage. That's just not enough for the amount of apps, music, and video I want to carry.
Thankfully, because the Moto X supports USB OTG, it's a fairly simple matter to plug in external storage for my media. Of course, the typical solution for such an exercise is a USB OTG cable and a flash drive, but the new PKparis K'2 is a flash drive that plugs directly into an Android device's Micro-USB port.… Read more

As part of its "rip and replace" initiative, Sprint removed old equipment on cell towers around Chicago and replaced it with new and improved technology that will deliver a more reliable 3G service in the city. The effort was part of a year-long initiative to improve Chicago's Sprint service, and included its fair share of downtime as it was being ramped up.
For its part, Sprint says that the new 3G network should fix those instability issues and improve data and voice … Read more
Nick D'Aloisio sounds like every other 18-year-old when singing the praises of Snapchat.
Of course, not a lot of other teenagers have created their own startup and sold it to Yahoo. Or have participated in a Q&A session at the LeWeb technology conference.
D'Aloisio, who sold his summary app, Summly, to Yahoo for reportedly $30 million, was on stage on Tuesday at LeWeb in Paris to talk about his experiences at Yahoo and being an entrepreneur. The presentation was available via a live stream.
Amid a potpourri of topics at LeWeb, D'Aloisio talked a bit … Read more
