The iPhone 5 is here and millions of people will buy it and love it. But its arrival also starts the clock ticking on the next iPhone. New iPad Mini model hits the Web, but is it the real thing?

Apple's iPad Mini doesn't even exist, but yet another mockup of the device's appearance has surfaced.

Chinese tech site BoLoPad today published photos of what it claims is the iPad Mini. The images show a 7.85-inch tablet with an aluminum back casing. That casing includes the Apple logo, a hole for a camera, and the typical iPad markings, including the device's storage amount and legal jargon.

5-inch HTC phablet tipped to be Droid Incredible X

Move over Samsung and LG, there's new evidence that HTC may be readying a "phablet" of its own for Verizon.

According to a trusted insider close to HTC Source, the smartphone is slated to boast a 5-inch 1080p HD display with a screen resolution of 1794 x 1080 and a ludicrous 480 pixels per inch (ppi). Inside it will run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and boast other top features.

Apple may have just priced itself into a corner.

At least week's product launch event, the company unveiled a new, fifth-generation iPod Touch with a slightly larger screen, better camera, faster processor, and so on. Starting price: $299.

Meanwhile, the rumor mill continues to churn about an iPad Mini that could appear as early as next month, potentially obliterating Amazon's Kindle Fire and other competitors in the 7-inch tablet market (much as the current iPad has dominated the 10-inch market).

Last-minute HTC One X+ emerge ahead of HTC event

With less than one week to go before HTC takes the stage in New York, additional details have sprung up for the HTC One X+ smartphone. As a refresher, this is the handset rumored to be a faster, more powerful version of the AT&T phone.

New Apple Dock connector to be known as 'Lightning,' report says

Apple's iPhone 5 won't be the only product unveiled today at its press event.

The company today is expected to show off a new, 9-pin Dock connector to replace its current 30-pin option. That new Dock connector will be called Lightning, 9to5Mac is reporting, citing sources. The blog's sources say the name comes from the 9-pin connector's ability to more quickly sync with computers than its predecessor.
