Jawbone warns of 'limited' MyTalk hack, disables old passwords

Bluetooth headset maker Jawbone informed its customers recently that its MyTalk service has been hacked.

In a letter to users obtained by Engadget, Jawbone wrote that it was the target of an "isolated" attack aimed at accessing user information. The company said that the hackers stole some of its MyTalk users' names, e-mail addresses, and the encrypted version of their password.

Apple CEO to speak at financial event tomorrow

Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook will once again speak at the Goldman Sachs annual Technology and Internet Conference.

Cook -- who rarely speaks or does interviews outside of Apple's own events -- is opening the conference, which begins tomorrow, with a keynote presentation. Barrons notes that Cook was originally scheduled to speak at 1:15 p.m. PT, right after the market closes, but will instead kick everything off almost immediately after it opens at 7:15 a.m.

The appearance comes ahead of Apple's annual shareholders meeting at its campus in Cupertino, Calif., on February 27.

Apple, HBO reportedly in talks to bring HBO Go to Apple TV

Apple and HBO are in talks to bring HBO's on-demand programming to Apple's set-top streaming box, a new report says.

Citing anonymous sources, Bloomberg says the two companies are still working out a deal with hopes of adding it to Apple's streaming lineup by the middle of this year.

Apple declined to comment on the report, calling it rumor and speculation.

"We've said we would like HBO GO accessible on all preferred platforms so we are always having discussions with a variety of companies," an HBO spokesperson told CNET.
