Expect iOS 6, new MacBooks at Apple conference Monday

In today's show, we look into the Apple crystal ball, get hit with more apps and save up for new games:

Apple will be highlighting new products at its annual Developer's Conference Monday. Expect computers to get Intel's new processors, and we'll likely hear about new 3D maps on iOS 6 and other mobile system upgrades.

Some have said laptops could get retina display, which is found on iPhones and iPads. That seemed pretty improbably, until recently. An application for Macs has been updated to support retina graphics. That raised a few eyebrows.

Facebook user pleads guilty for threatening to kill Obama

As President Obama toured through south Florida on a fundraising and speaking tour in February, a Miami college student posted on his own Facebook wall:

"If anyones going to UM to see Obama today, get ur phones out and record. Cause at any moment im gonna put a bullet through his head and u don't wanna miss that! Youtube!"

Today, Joaquin Amador Serrapio Jr., 20, pled guilty in a U.S. District Court to a single count of threatening to kill or harm the president via the social network, according to the Guardian. He could be sentenced … Read more

After four months on the job, Scott Thompson resigned as Yahoo's chief executive. Although he has been in the middle of a scandal about the false statements made about his education, he also is leaving for health reasons. It's been reported that Thompson told the board he's battling thyroid cancer. Yahoo named ad-guru Ross Levinsohn as interim CEO. Levinsohn is the sixth Yahoo CEO in the past five years.

Update your status with a live stream

Color for Facebook lets you update your status with a live video stream straight from your device's camera. It lets you broadcast streams using your standard data connection or Wi-Fi, and can even post photo updates (thought its strength is undoubtedly its video capability).

iCloud not working properly? Check status page

Apple's iCloud service is a convenient set of online tools for Lion Macs; however, if part of the service goes out then those who rely on it can be seriously burdened.

Earlier today iCloud's e-mail service was affected by a brief outage, which resulted in a number of users unable to check their e-mail accounts either via Mail or through the iCloud.com Web page. The service has since been restored, but this problem may have had a number of people needlessly troubleshooting their Mail application setups.
