Anyone with at least $3 million to spare may be able to own a 1954 letter written by Albert Einstein.

Up for auction on eBay starting today, the letter was written by Einstein a year before his death and sent to Eric Gutkind in response to Gutkind's book "Choose Life: The Biblical Call to Revolt." As such, it offers a revealing look into the scientist's private and unadulterated attitude toward religion and his own Jewish heritage.

In memory of Steve Jobs, laser-cutting outfit Uncover today announced the auction of three Steve Job tribute MacBook Pro laptops with the rear-illuminated Apple logo containing the silhouette of the late Apple co-founder. The design derives from Hong Kong artist Jonathan Mak, who created the symbolic image last year to honor the tech icon.

The Federal Communications Commission has begun the long process of reclaiming broadcast TV spectrum for wireless use.

The five commissioners unanimously approved a proposal intended to free up spectrum now held by broadcasters and auction it to wireless broadband providers. (See the FCC press release embedded at the end of this article.) CNET followed the hearing via the FCC's public webcast.

As the Federal Communications Commission establishes the rules for its upcoming incentive spectrum auction, competitive carriers say they do not want to see a repeat of what happened with the 700MHz spectrum auction in 2008.

Kodak is selling the business that made it famous.

The company revealed yesterday that it's selling its traditional print film business as part of an auction to raise cash.

The sale extends to Kodak's entire personalized imaging and document division, which includes kiosks that develop photos, photo paper and still camera film products, and even equipment that snaps souvenir photos at theme parks.

Before the digital age, Kodak held the market on consumer photography and was virtually synonymous with the word "film."
