Kids find Nintendo yummier than Oreos, M&Ms

Kids may gobble up junk food, but it seems they love playing with Nintendo devices even more.

Out of the 100 most loved brands for America's children and tweens, the Nintendo Wii and DS scored the first and second spots, according to a report by research firm Smarty Pants.

Sparse pattern-making program

Cutter allows users to create basic patterns for shoulder and waistline garments. Although it does create patterns as promised, it offers little guidance along the way.

The interface is sparse and somewhat intuitive. The program's functions are somewhat obvious just by virtue of the fact that there are so few of them. Afghanistan is a rugged country. How rugged is it? It's so rugged the U.S. Army has commissioned special pants for soldiers fighting there.

The new Army Combat Pants are designed to take whatever Takur Ghar and other Afghan mountain ranges have to hand out, according to the Army.

The new pants feature built-in hard knee pads that adjust up or down and side to side. Cordarounds keep bikers in bright sight on light nights

Cycling commuters are forced to deal with a million obstacles on the ride to and from work. In urban areas, cars remain our biggest foe, largely because people don't make the effort to look out for our blinking lights. Plenty of companies offer cycling-specific clothing, but they're terribly unflattering in all the wrong places.

We've seen keyboards integrated into pants before (in this edition of DO NOT CRAVE), but we're willing to give it another chance because Brooklynite Zach Hoeken actually made these himself.

Zach spawned the keyboard pants idea at Sunday's Fashion Hacking Day sponsored by NYC Resistor, a collective that brings hackers together to share knowledge and collaborate on creative projects. Instead of throwing away a flexible silicone keyboard he had lying around the house, he decided to cut it in half and sew it onto a pair of shants.

We can't wait to ask Shaun about the notorious snowboarder-skier rivalry, his favorite video games, and how he's enjoying his stay in the Big Apple. We're going to be doing a lot of work to prepare for Shaun and make sure he'll be comfortable.
