MMMMmmmm... nothing like the Razr2, a Mercedes-Benz and destruction in Russia to spice up a commute. Plus, we check in on a really easy to use VOIP service and would you pay to download music if you didn't have to? Radiohead hopes you will.

NYT's Pogue takes a lesson from CNET

As I'm commuting home yesterday afternoon, I fire up the old iPhone and decide to watch some video podcasts. After a little Geek Brief TV and Buzz Report, it's time for David Pogue. As host of my own vlog, The Queue, I often wonder if fellow vloggers ever watch my show. I wonder if Pogue, on his way into work, takes out his iPhone and checks out The Queue, or Top 5. I wonder if Kevin Pereira, at his G4 desk, quietly watches CNET Live.

Well, you can imagine my surprise, when exactly 52 seconds into Pogue's latest video, "Dave's Cutting-Room Floor," there's a quick clip of my New York colleague, John Falcone, doing a CNET First Look of the TiVo HD. It was the proof I'd been seeking all along! Others in the business are keeping a close eye on the competition! Even referencing them in THEIR videos!

And by the way, John Falcone seems to get the bulk of the attention around here. Go figure.

The latest episode of The Queue is now live on CNET TV for your viewing pleasure. Have you noticed our snazzy new background? Our major NY studio construction is now complete, and we have a semipermanent place to tape the show. That's a real window behind us, with live action; for instance, when we taped today's show, there was a crane doing work behind us...so you never know what you'll see!

The Queue on CNET TV

The latest episode of The Queue is now available on CNET TV.

As you may have noticed, today we took the show outside and Tuesday's show was taped in front of a different background. That's because our studio is under construction! It's an exciting project that will take a few weeks to complete, but once it's done, we'll be able to do a lot more with the space. But taping outside is pretty fun!

Show notes - The Queue: Moon bound!

The latest episode of The Queue is now available for your viewing pleasure on CNET TV. Here are notes on the things I mentioned:

Moon Resorts
I first met the guys behind this at the X Prize Cup in Las Cruces, NM. I've always been fascinated with space and I thought the little 3-D model of the resort was so cool. I'm not sure how far along plans are to actually build one of these...but I can definitely see the potential appeal.

I had no idea you could download eBooks and other things like it from the library! It's all DRM'd, but still, for free, what more can you ask for! All you need is a library card.

I'm Rich!

CNET TV is growing up fast, and now we even have our very own blog! Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Rich DeMuro, CNET TV's guy in New York City. Yes, much of our crew is out in San Francisco, but I'm headquartered in the Big Apple to cover the East Coast. It's not all that lonely here; we have a team of editors out here as well who review digital cameras, TVs, computers, and more. But I digress...I produce and host a show on CNET TV called The Queue, which is sort of like The Soup for the technology-minded. It's a fast-paced and fun take on tech, with fresh episodes every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. I also do a segment called The New Edge 2.0, which covers cutting edge tech and science, in addition to covering random tech events in and around NYC. OK, enough for now, but I'll keep you posted here with details on each Queue episode so you can easily find links to the stuff I mention in the show.
