The 404 465: Where the television will not be revolutionized
Created: 11/11/2009
Video description: We've been accused (and mostly guilty) of saying a lot of heinous things on The 404, but we refuse to just rest on our laurels and accept these recent allegations of AGEISM. The accusation actually comes at a good time for the show, since the majority of the episodes this week have dealt with censorship, video game ratings, parental responsibility, and childhood development--why not throw ageism into the mix?

Responsible for all but revolutionizing the entire face of underground hip-hop in the early portion of this decade with a slew of potent and influential releases such as 2000’s Float LP and 2001’s monumental Labor Days LP to his most recent EP, 2004’s Fast Cars, Danger, Fire and Knives, Aesop Rock (aka Ian Bavitz) has proven that resting on his past laurels is all but forbidden.

Ep. 84: iPhone 3G S review

It wouldn't be a week in cell phone land if the Dialed In crew didn't have a lot to talk about. And since it's been two weeks since our last show, you can bet that this episode is chock full of cell phone news and reviews. Leading off is the CNET review of the iPhone 3GS. We're still getting through the lab tests, but we've combed through the new features in depth. Meanwhile, Bonnie enthralls us with a long list of major smartphone news including Flash Player 10 beta and T-Mobile's second Google Android phone. And elsewhere in the podcast, Bonnie sighs, Kent sings, and Nicole laughs at them both.

Ep. 152: The Kill Me Episode

Today's episode is all about technology that is so ridiculous, it calls for someone to exclaim "kill me." That, or it could actually kill you. Man, that's depressing. We lighten things up with the surfing equivalent of Roller Blades. Come to think of it, that might not be all that safe either.

Ep. 1006: Butt-nibbling robots

Artists are developing robots that can consume flies and rodents. That means they'll get a taste for flesh. What could go wrong? They come for your butt, that's what. We also take NASA to task, and discuss the effect of Michael Jackson's death on the Internet and what it might mean for future emergencies. All that and some ageism.

The 404 427: Where despite all our rage we are still just rats in a cage

Today's episode of The 404 is especially passionate, maybe because we know it's the last one of the week. No show tomorrow, but look out for two special throwback episodes coming your way Friday and Sunday. Anyway, onto today's stories. As the title states, we're taking a trip back to our childhood and remembering some of our favorite Smashing Pumpkins songs and music videos.

Ep. 149: The Single Purpose Gadgets Episode

OK. So we promised you on last week's episode that we would do a single purpose gadgets episode this week. Turns out, promising that type of thing in advance isn't such a good idea as we actually had to work to find gadgets that fit the theme. So we made it, but admittedly by the skin of our collective teeth. It's all worth it for the segments, though. Patience, young grasshopper!
