>> Hi I'm Molly Wood from CNET.com here at CES 2008, taking a first look at a very cool product. This is from 3DV Systems, it is the ZCam. Now this is a, it's built as a real time depth sensing video camera, so it sort of looks like a webcam, but it basically captures video in 3D. It can sense the depth between the object and the camera. Now the primary application here is for gaming, so you can imagine that this takes the concept of the WiiMote a step further, where without an actual controller in your hand you are in fact the remote control. So I have a boxing demo up here. Basically I just punch at the screen, and I look really wimpy, but the big old bag on the screen is moving like crazy. I've also seen this in use to control Media Center, so you would actually use just finger gestures for example to control Media Center on screen. And I've seen it in use in a flight simulator, which is all kinds of fun. Now this should be available in the second half of 2008, possibly as part of a game bundle or too for under one hundred dollars.
