"A Beautiful Lie" directed by Angakok Panipaq premieres January 30th in an array of countries including the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Sweden and Denmark through a never before seen global Myspace exclusive event. Matthew Dear: "Don and Sherri"

From the album Asa Breed on the Ghostly International label, this video premiered on MTV2's subterranean, 10.22.08. Directors Judy Welfare and Jeremy Hollister capture much of the song's fervent busyness by using a special 5 camera rig splayed out in a semi-circle and attached to the bed of a truck. With Dear literally hanging out over the street, they used mirrors to create a layered effect, similar to the vocals on Don and Sherri, except these shots were achieved for real, in-camera.

Jose Gonzalez: "Down the Line"

With his crystal-clear singing voice and vibrant, classically-inspired playing, Jos? Gonz?lez is one of today’s most remarkable artists – testament to the irrefutable power of one man and a guitar. His debut album 'Veneer' captured his magical sound in its purest state, simply beautiful and beautifully simple. Touching on a remarkable array of influences, from folk to classic pop to a dazzling spectrum of world music, 'Veneer' touched audiences across the globe. Originally released in Sweden on Imperial Recordings in 2003 and on Hidden Agenda in North America in 2005, 'Veneer' was re-issued in the US on Mute Records in 2006. In September 2007 Gonz?lez will release his sophomore album, the highly anticipated 'In Our Nature' (released in the US on Mute). 'In Our Nature' sees Gonz?lez coming into his own as a songwriter – with songs that are as instantly accessible as they are brimming with darkness and brooding intensity.

Daft Punk: "Harder Better Faster Stronger"

The first single from the album will be a live version of "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" from Daft Punk's 2001 album Discovery, accompanied with a video directed by Olivier Gondry (older brother to acclaimed film director Michel) that features live footage shot by fans. The video will be included on the enhanced cd. The album version of "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" is currently enjoying a second life and a surge in digital sales thanks to being sampled by rapper Kanye West on his current Top 5 hit "Stronger". The Daft Punk robots, in their signature retro-futuristic robot gear, also appear in West's "Stronger" video.

Boards of Canada: "Dayvan Cowboy"

Directed by Melissa Olson, the first ever official music video from Boards of Canada is truly a thing of beauty. Suspended on the edge of space in a balloon, an astronaut looks down at the beautiful planet earth and prepares to dive in. Leaping from the balloon, he floats down through the earth's atmosphere, dense cloud cover and into the ocean. The daredevil voyager emerges from the chaos of the sea on a surf board, riding a huge wave to the shore. Using reassembled documentary footage, the video to "Dayvan Cowboy" translates the power and atmosphere of Boards Of Canada's music into a dreamlike, imaginary journey from space, into the sea and to the shore, in one continuous sequence.

"Islandshasten"

From Sweden, this is a short piece featuring lots of beautiful horses.

Ben Jalen: "Where Do We Go"

Ben Jelen is the first artist release for 2007 from Custard, home to multi-platinum selling "You're Beautiful" singer James Blunt. Jelen recently finished recording the final tracks for the album with producer/label head Linda Perry whom also mixed the majority of the songs in addition to two mixes from famed producer Bill Bottrell (Shelby Lynne, Tom Petty, Rosanne Cash, Elton John).

Morrissey: "You Have Killed Me"

Ringleader of the Tormentors is a savagely alive record. Recorded at Forum Music Village in Rome with long-term hero Tony Visconti (who produced favorite records for T-Rex and David Bowie, during their most creative periods of the 60s and 70s), the album positively crackles with fire. It is, for instance, a far more direct and rocking record than Quarry, which aside from Irish Blood, English Heart, was a self-consciously beautiful, and largely symphonic, record.
