"A Beautiful Lie" directed by Angakok Panipaq premieres January 30th in an array of countries including the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Sweden and Denmark through a never before seen global Myspace exclusive event. Matthew Dear: "Don and Sherri"

From the album Asa Breed on the Ghostly International label, this video premiered on MTV2's subterranean, 10.22.08. Directors Judy Welfare and Jeremy Hollister capture much of the song's fervent busyness by using a special 5 camera rig splayed out in a semi-circle and attached to the bed of a truck. With Dear literally hanging out over the street, they used mirrors to create a layered effect, similar to the vocals on Don and Sherri, except these shots were achieved for real, in-camera.

Ben Jalen: "Where Do We Go"

Ben Jelen is the first artist release for 2007 from Custard, home to multi-platinum selling "You're Beautiful" singer James Blunt. Jelen recently finished recording the final tracks for the album with producer/label head Linda Perry whom also mixed the majority of the songs in addition to two mixes from famed producer Bill Bottrell (Shelby Lynne, Tom Petty, Rosanne Cash, Elton John).

The video will be included on the enhanced cd. The album version of "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" is currently enjoying a second life and a surge in digital sales thanks to being sampled by rapper Kanye West on his current Top 5 hit "Stronger". The Daft Punk robots, in their signature retro-futuristic robot gear, also appear in West's "Stronger" video.

Gorillaz: "Rockit"

D-Sides, an assortment of B-sides from Gorillaz multi-platinum second album Demon Days, early demos and previously unreleased tracks compiled together for the first time, has been confirmed for a November 20 U.S. release on Virgin Records.

Boards of Canada: "Dayvan Cowboy"

Directed by Melissa Olson, the first ever official music video from Boards of Canada is truly a thing of beauty. Suspended on the edge of space in a balloon, an astronaut looks down at the beautiful planet earth and prepares to dive in. Leaping from the balloon, he floats down through the earth's atmosphere, dense cloud cover and into the ocean. The daredevil voyager emerges from the chaos of the sea on a surf board, riding a huge wave to the shore. Using reassembled documentary footage, the video to "Dayvan Cowboy" translates the power and atmosphere of Boards Of Canada's music into a dreamlike, imaginary journey from space, into the sea and to the shore, in one continuous sequence.

"Islandshasten"
