2013 Volvo V40 Video
2013 Volvo V40 Video Transcript
If you don't live in Europe, don't watch this video. It might just annoy you. This rather handsome looking Volvo probably won't be coming to where you are, certainly not the US any time soon. The V40. It's related to the current C30 but with very different and impressive lines unless you have a problem with hatchback DNA, which the US market usually does. Now of course, safety remains front and center with this company. Literally. They're crowing about their front pedestrian airbag. When impact with a pedestrian is detected up in the front bumper area, an airbag pops up under the rear edge of the hood and that pad's not just it but also the base of the windshield and around the lower A pillars. That's where most serious pedestrian impact injuries come from. Compared to that, things like cross traffic alerts and self braking seem, well, pedestrian.
