The new Boxster takes a lot of queues from the new 911; longer wheel base, wider track, basically a bigger footprint, but not in one sense. The new Boxster is 15% more fuel efficient, though I doubt that's why you're gonna buy one; the reduction comes from one of the biggest trends we saw allover Geneva, weight reduction, and not just in green cars; our eye was also drawn to the Boxster's new wider, flatter, cab-forward body styling. This third generation is really much more of a change than the second gen car was from the original, and much to amaze your grand, the new Boxster cabin gets the corporate center console, which I think is over-rot anywhere but in a Cayenne for example, at the very least, it doesn's say lean sports car to me but it does offer a prominent home for the cabin tech so that's okay.
