>> Well, here's the new 2011 Mustang. Now, of course, if you get yours in this position, the last thing that will go through your mind might be a guardrail, but let's not dwell on the unpleasant. What's really going on with this car is not so much a different look, some real subtle changes, but a different motor on the low end. And low end's kind of a pejorative term because this V6 has got some good numbers, 305 horsepower and 30 MPG highway when it has an automatic transmission, not 29 with a manual. They've done a few things here to this motor. It's all aluminum. It's not direct injection. It was interesting because the Chevy Camero that competes with this guy, and frankly, shamed it into these innovations, does have DI. But that's a detail. Twin independent cams, so dual overhead cams on each bank, each of the heads, and each of those cams are independently variable in terms of timing and phase. They spent a lot of time reducing friction inside the engine, and it's being mated up to new transmissions, including an all-new six-speed manual. Now, a lot of tweaks going on here, but you can see an interesting trend here. Between Camero and Mustang, there's a whole new battle of the pony cars, but they aren't racing to V8s. They're doing a whole lot more with V6 that you shouldn't be ashamed of owning. ^M00:01:14 [ Music ]
