>> The E 63 has always been an important car to Mercedes. It was the first time they could smash BMW's M cars in the mouth. So here's the new 2010 version of that brawler, moved around by a 6.2 liter dual overhead V8 that gets it done the old fashion way, no turbos or blowers. We love it more than life itself in the C63, and in this car it puts out an even loftier 518 horsepower. The transmission is an exotic seven speed dual clutch automated manual that is efficient enough to bump up the MPG by about 12%. I doubt that'll spare you the gas guzzler tax, but that really isn't the idea here. Note the rather sexy looking console around the shifter, with its driver facing buttons for drive mode, suspension settings, and the like. The usual angular AMGQs and the body styling are everywhere, and underlying the fact that this biggish sedan will do zero to sixty in about four and a half seconds.
