>> You recall the old Insight, that kind of funny 2-seater that didn't sell real well and wasn't real loved but was the first showroom ready hybrid in U.S. history? They brought back the name to get a little bit of good luck out of it and here's the vehicle that will be adorned with the moniker, very different packaging; this is a full 4 seat car, 2 rows, you've got storage capacity, you've got all the real world creature comforts you want in a vehicle and, of course, it's using Honda's IMA, Integrated Motor Assist, which is a parallel hybrid, it's always helping the gas engine with electric power but it doesn't run in series the way Toyota's architecture does. 1 point 3 liter gas engine coupled with that electric motor, the big headline though is real car, nice interior layout as is Honda's hallmark, and a sub $20,000 MSRP. Their research, as does a lot of others, tells us that consumers aren't crazy about paying a premium for a hybrid that they're not sure they're gonna earn back. ^E00:01:16
