>> Okay, so your Z06 isn't fast enough, huh? Alright rock star, this is gonna do it for you, the ZR-1. The new king of the Vettes. The first production Vette that will have a posted top speed of 200 plus. How do you get there? With the 6.2-liter LS9V8, puts out 620 horsepower, about 595 on the foot pounds. What do you do with that power? You put it out through a 6-speed manual, but you've got to use a Dual Disc clutch to get it all contained. It's an amazing amount of power and of course they do a lot of things with technical trickery to make this thing go fast. Super charging is part of the picture. How do I know? That's easy. It's right there under the clear window in the hood. When that power gets to the road it does so, on some big all wheels and tires, nineteen's on the front, twenties in the back. Those kinds of sizes were auto-customized or stuff a couple of years ago. Now, on the factory HotRod, bringing it down to a stop, that's also a big job, so that's why you'll find carbon ceramic combination rudders on the breaks. Rambo's of course do clamp on to him. Technology, you've got magnetic ride control in this car, which is the sort of thing that allows it to electronically change the viscosity of the fluid in the dampers to take care of any imperfections on the road in milliseconds. We've also got the heads-up display that is stocks seen that on the Z06 like it, it's got that cool accelerator meter for when you're cornering. If you get the luxury package you add some more toys. Navigation system, Bluetooth hands-free, but this car isn't really about the high-touch high-tech. It's about the high-tech go-fast. And it will probably eat cars costing three times its price.
