>> Now our car is loaded up, a couple of packages. One is called the Lux package. The other one is called the Technologie package. Here's our navigation rig. Pretty sure that font is Comic Sans, isn't it? Not exactly what I wanna see in my 50,000 plus SUV, but so be it. We've got the soft button mode of thinking here. They throw up a menu that varies by mode. I get to do a lot of clicking around here. I really want a touch screen, so I can go right to the letter. It's really slow, I think, every click of the button or the knob just -- huh, heart beat or two before it does meet -- this is just an old stale unit. Good bye. What I like a lot better than that display is that display. I've got my fuel, I've got my audio playback, there's a navigation window in there. Where's the phone? This is a $50,000 car. Where's my Bluetooth? Let's get it out of the audio system. So we start off with the band button, which brings us two bands of FM and an AM. No HD Radio here, but we do have satellite radio. If you had the Bass audio rig in this car, you'd have ten speakers, single CD slot and CD audio only from what I can gather and AM, FM. By getting the upgraded package, the Technologie package, we are blessed with a six-disc changer. Oh, by the way, this is not the disc. If you try to put your disc in there you lose your nav because that's where your maps go. So, yes indeed the six-disc is out in the back. We also get this rearview back-up camera as part of that package and it's a good one. It's got a really good video quality as you can see. ^M00:01:42 [ Music ] ^M00:01:44

>> Now let's talk motive power for this big box. We have the middle engine. A 4.2-liter direct-injection five-valve per cylinder gas V-8, 350 horse, 324 foot-pounds, kind of wimpy on the torque to be honest, but of the three this one is the big stinker on gas mileage doing 12 city, 17 highway. The transmission is only this one, this six-speed automatic. This vehicle come standard with full-time all wheel drive. It's a very intelligent system, you got a high range or low range and as you can see I've got a couple of choices on differential lock over there on the far right side. Our vehicle does have the optional air suspension, so that gives it a bunch of this height-flexibility that we've seen controlled on this knob over here. ^M00:02:31 [ Music ] ^M00:02:32

>> Okay, let's price up this big guy, we're gonna start just about 49,000. Once you get in the vehicle with destination, no options. Now we add up the options, $2900 will get you that air suspension I just mentioned, 3400 for the Lux package, that's basically the kill-as-go technology: Four zone climate and Dynaudio speakers in sound. Then to get all the other audio goodies, you gotta get the Technologie package, that's 3400 more and that gets you the audio bells and whistles, navigation and the rearview camera. It's still nowhere near a Porche Cayenne loaded up even though it's related to that vehicle, but it feels like it's missing in some tech areas especially that lack of Bluetooth. ^M00:03:18 [ Music ]
