That's an under torquie [assumed spelling] motor, 0 to 16 4.8. So who the hell am I to complain? Well, I'm going to, because the torque is a lowish [assumed spelling] 295 as I mentioned, the car just doesn't feel beefy. It feels fast. There's a difference. The power goes out through a six-speed manual. Luckily, they gave us that real version here in the press fleet [assumed spelling]. That's the base gearbox. There's also an am [assumed spelling] drive logic dual clutch, an SMG basically. Very impressive on paper. I've never liked BMW's. I haven't driven it in the M3. But in the other M cars, with the five and the six, it just falls on its face all the time in city driving. I know what you're saying, hey stupid; hit the M button, it's right there. I did, I know the M mode. It doesn't transform the car that much in terms of power delivery. It's just not my kind of motor. The cabin tech for entertainment and all that soft stuff is BMW's usual load of stuff. We've got Idrive, which I used to call an acquired test. Except after three years of trying to acquire a test for it, and not doing so, I now just call it a taste. It's like one of those things, you either like sambuca [assumed spelling] or you don't. I don't. The entertainment options in this car are numerous. You've got FM radio with HD radio available, also, an interest new iPod jack [assumed spelling]. BMW was [inaudible] first on iPod. But check how they do it now, and [inaudible] next to a USB. So the USB as far as I can tell with our iPod is giving me power charging and data and logic control. But the audio still comes over the auxiliary [assumed spelling] jack here. So they've given you what is basically a more flexible way to connect your portables, but still has true iPod compatibility. And, of course, the BMW display of navigation is as usual excellent. It's just dealing with the Idrive menus and controller that drive me nuts. But once you're in there, it's a great looker, one of the best, though not top of the class. And notice we have live traffic information on their, and that's not going to cost you a cent. That's RTTI, real time traffic information, which is a freebie that comes over Clear Channel FM stations.

>> Okay, so what does it cost to drive the king of the three's?

>> 57.2 gets you the basic car, with the big motor, the great wheels and the wide tires and all the body cues that tell people it's a very different animal. But you can add a lot to it. Twenty-one hundred for that navigation system with traffic. On the more fun side, you've got four hundred bucks for the iPod USB adapter. And there's another 750 charge if you want BMW assist with Bluetooth hands free, not stocked. Twenty-seven hundred gets you that SMG gearbox. But try it before you buy it. Hmm [assumed spelling].
