>> [ music ] Check this out this is the first and only car that has this head unit in it. This is a whole new idea in interface. Notice you've got two traditional knobs and around each one are a couple of rings. But notice as I get near and far from the unit what happens? It pops another menu up to give me contextual menus based on where my hand is. So it figures out ah-ha, your hand is getting the unit you must want to change to Am or FM or tune around to a different station. That's a proximity sensor doing that. These buttons are also obvious. The transmitter for radio AM, FM and television by the way, that's interesting though I can't show you that inside the building but it has it. Here's disk, and what that does is access either the disk slot here, the library which is a 30 Gig hard drive space you rip to, or you can also hit new music and that's where it builds playlists on the fly, kind of like Pandora. It does a predictive music thing to take your music off the hard drive then make new playlists it thinks will delight you. These are soft buttons here in the middle. They'll change depending on what you're doing, that could be iPod for example because there's an iPod jack, or USB. There's a USB jack right there. The next one is navigation; the next one is phone for blue tooth. Notice as I turn the knob that little red segment goes around, that will be a different size segment depending how many positions there are to choose from. After a while it gets very intuitive and of course you've got the outer ring that does more course, bigger things like changing mode, and then the small knob changes things within the mode. Now as I mentioned this is exclusive right now in U. S. spec Ferrari 612's and that's an exclusive lock up till late 08 they tell us. Then I expect this guy to spread to other premium cars because Bose is already a major player with big relationships with a lot of car makers. You know, we've shown you Bose speaker and amp systems over and over again. For them to move into head units is the last frontier and this is their first Bose branded head unit, and as you can see has a very distinctive look and feel. [ music ]
