Let's check out the revised Caddy Crossover, the 2007 SRX. ^M00:00:11 [ Music ] ^M00:00:14 First of all, the head unit we have here is part of an optional infotainment system that runs over 2000 dollars. But what it brings you first and foremost is the navigation system that we like a lot. This navigation system does not have the most advanced graphics on the market. That's not its strong suit. They're fairly simple, a little bit jaggy, a little bit. But an easy system to work with because first of all its touch screen and its near enough in the console that touch screen is very comfortable. It's not a reach, it's not hard to get to during normal driving. Additionally it also has a very good destination entry system. If you want to go somewhere, you don't have to fiddle around rolling and scrolling through the alphabet. You just touch on an actual ABCD keyboard. Additionally, aside from having the on screen navigation, you can also use OnStar's turn by turn directions. This vehicle has the OnStar system. You've got the familiar OnStar buttons up here on the mirror. And when you contact the OnStar operator, you can tell them where you want to go. They will radio or to be correct, satellite the directions down to the car and it will give you verbal and simple graphic prompts on the indicator on the dashboard. So you've got a supplemental navigation system here to go along with the navigation on the LCD screen. Let's move from navigation to our entertainment system. Now this vehicle has XM radio, AM FM and a disk player. But some interesting details on that. As I go to the audio menu here, you see we have a very nice graphical display of the information available from XM. On the disks, you've got a single disk CD slot. That's kind of a letdown, there's no multi disk here. But it's also available to play DVD audio and DVD movie disks along with CD and MP3 CD, but no WMA on this particular upgraded system. You're allowed to play the DVD videos when the car is in park. There's also an available rear seat entertainment system. Our vehicle was not equipped with it. But when that's available, you also have auxiliary input jacks in the back that can feed an audio or video portable through the main system. Speaking of auxiliary jacks, we have one right here, which takes the place of an iPod adapter. There is no true iPod adapter available on the SRX. One more interesting feature of how this system hybridizes the display for both navigation and audio is there is a mode when you press the navigation button to have your radio information on the left in a split screen and your navigation reduced to be sure on the right. And if you're looking for electromechanical tech, the SRX has us covered. Hit the button for the sunroof. And get a cup of coffee. It's going to be a while before that enormous expansion of what they call the ultra view glass sunroof opens up because it goes all the way almost to the passengers heads in the back seat. There's also an adjustable sunshade that goes back and forth at different levels so you can adjust how much open, how much glass and how much shade you've got going. Let's price it out. The SRX V6 5 speed auto that we drove is around 36900 then you're going to add destination on top of that. So let's say the low to mid 37000. The premium luxury package is the big dog, it has almost everything I've shown you today for 7150 suggested package price. What it doesn't have though is the 5.1 surround audio from Bose. To get that you need the infotainment package for 2450 then you get the surround sound audio system and still the navigation and finally if you want to ala carte the roof, that's 1800 on its own.
