2006 Mini Cooper S Review
The good: A combination of transmission, handling, and horsepower makes the 2006 Mini Cooper S a joy to drive. And the quality of the premium Harman Kardon audio system means that it sounds as solid as it steers. The placement of the tach makes playing with the six-speed manual informative and fun.
The bad: The 2006 Mini Cooper S's stereo system doesn't display MP3 ID3-tag information, and navigating MP3 CDs is extremely tedious. Emissions ratings aren't all they could be, and an ill-designed cup holder gets in the way and ruins the interior look.
The bottom line: The 2006 Mini Cooper S is a ton of fun to drive and makes its mark with retro exterior and interior features. Besides an excellent-sounding stereo and an untested navigation system, cabin electronics are generally left to dealer options.
